Yo I'm not sure if you have heard this or not, but this cat named Max Tannone has taken some of Mos Def's joints and flipped them with some reggae beats and vocals. The result is pure magic. Check out the joint called "Ms. Vampire Booty" below. And if you love this shit as much as I do, click here for the link to download the album........ FREE.

Rock The Bells... 8 days
Yo here we go. We are almost under the one week mark until RTB smashes through San Bernadino. This is one group that alot of people are dying to see. I actually caught them at that RTB in the parking lot of Angel Stadium for the first reunion show a few years back. Tragically, that show went from hype and really wide open and dope, to somber when they announced in between acts, that ODB had passed away that day.
So here is a joint off Midnight Marauders for your listening pleasure. Get yo tickets and represent Southern Cali Hip Hop heads at this historic show. Click Here to get to the link to snatch up some tickets.

Album Review--- Big Boi
You know the name..."Daddy Fat Sacks". If you don't you been sleeping. Mr. Patton has released a banger for sure. Sir Lucious Left Foot... The Son of Chico Dusty was unleashed on the ear buds of hip hop fans on July 6th of 2010 and I really haven't heard much buzz about it. But I am hear to tell you right now that this album is a definite must have in your collection. Who else can spit some lines like, "I'm shittin on niccas and peeing on the seat. Its that nicca the B-I-G B-O-I, O-U-T."
The album has joints on it that will make you feel like you are on your fifth Henny and Coke, and you chillin in the club posted up, with your head bobbin. "Daddy Fat Sax" and "Shutterbugg" are two examples of this. I dare you to listen to these songs and not feel like your heads gotta bounce. By the way, Scott Storch is the mind behind the production on "Shutterbugg". Welcome back Scott Storch. Its been a minute. Other production on this album was provided by Salaam Remi (Nas, Fugees), Organize Noise, Big Boi's own Boom Boom Room producers and Boi-1da. The beats on this shit are nice all the way through,
There is no shortage of non-club joints on here too. Don't get it twisted, Big Boi ain't conforming like alot of these rap fools, trying to get that club/radio shit that most true Hip Hop heads piss on. Daddy Fat Sacks is staying true to real hip hop. There is a shit load of guest appearances on the album with a roster that includes... T.I. & Khujo Goodie, Sleepy Brown & Joi, Jamie Foxx, and George Clinton, Too Short & Sam Chris. There is also a song with an appearance from B.O.B, who I think sounds exactly like that brotha Andre 3000. "General Patton" has a mutha fucka wanting to hit corners in a candy painted Lac straight blowin Kush smoke out the window.
Basically, I am trying to tell you to get yo ass up and get this mutha fucka. With all the bullshit that is representing Hip Hop out today, it's a blessing to have brothas like Sir Lucious spittin all over the fuckin mic booth. Big Boi has always been known to be a master of the word game. From them early days on Southernplayalisticcadillacmusic to this new solo release, musical genius. Spend them ducketts on the lyrical crack cocaine that Big Boi packaged up for consumption on this one. FIRE.

Rock The Bells.......11 DAYS
"Moms bounced on ol' man, so then we moved to Shaolin Land". Classic ass album full of classic songs that bitch slap yo ass back to reality. Thats the way I would describe the debut release from them brothas straight outta the mutha fuckin Shaolin.
I would bet there aint too many people under the age of 40 that have not heard of the Wu. Their music is timeless, and still gets my head rockin every time I hear a joint from these cats. They will definitely be one of the main highlights for the majority of the crowd in San Bernadino in 11 days. WU TANG. WU TANG.. WU TANG. Heres a classic from the WU.

Making their only North-American appearance, Grammy-nominated, alternative rock band, Incubus will headline. Celebrated for his diverse and multi-genre blending musical style International musician, Manu Chao makes his first US return since 2008. Additional performance highlights include Cypress Hill, Deadmau5 “unhooked”, MGMT, Slightly Stoopid, Nas and Damian “Jr Gong” Marley, Atmosphere and more.""The CYPRESS HILL SMOKEOUT is a world-renowned platform that harnesses the power of music to celebrate self-expression, individuality and the freedom to choose one’s own way of life. The festival will showcase over 20 acts on 3 stages. “The Smoke Out is one of Guerilla Union’s most successful live music artist partnerships and this year’s show may be our most important and historic ever. It represents our company’s independent spirit and passion for creating unique live experiences. It’s truly an honor to work with Cypress Hill and all of this year’s world-class artists. SmokeOut is not only a well respected music festival, but also a platform for compassion, activism, and education for the entire medical marijuana community. With the help of Americans For Safe Access, Cypress Hill’s SmokeOut will continue to support the legalization of Medical Marijuana and patient’s rights. We need to encourage our community to vote this November. The timing of this year’s show in October (Californians will be voting on tax and regulation this November) along with the incredible coalition of cannabis friendly artists, activists, and industry leaders joining this year’s bill will help raise awareness and support for important medical marijuana issues locally and nationally. With all that said, SmokeOut has always been about great music and positive vibes. There’s going to be another line-up announcement soon. I promise our fans will not be disappointed.” Chang Weisberg, Founder of Guerilla Union.
Following their landmark performance of Black Sunday in its entirety at last year’s event, Cypress Hill will make history again. The group will perform their ground-breaking, debut self-titled album, Cypress Hill for the first time in their career. The two-time platinum album was released in 1991, which included chart-topping singles, “Stoned Is The Way Of The Walk”, “How I Could Just Kill A Man”, “Latin Lingo” and “Hand On The Pump”. Described by Rolling Stone (10/3/91) as “innovative and engaging”, Cypress Hill catapulted the group into major critical and commercial success and has since made influential albums lists by leading publications including, Rolling Stone, Spin Magazine and The Source. "Performing our self-titled album in its entirety is going to be a celebration and opportunity to treat our fans that have been supporting our music for nearly twenty years. We have a few more surprises to unveil as we prepare for SmokeOut and the upcoming vote in November. The SmokeOut exists to protect medical marijuana patient's rights and we encourage our fans to go to AmericansForSafeAccess.org to learn how they can make a difference. There are a lot of artists on this year's show that we love and respect. I can't wait to see all our fans, friends, and family back at the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino." B Real of Cypress Hill.
The full line-up for the CYPRESS HILL SMOKEOUT to date includes: INCUBUS, MANU CHAO, DEADMAU5 “unhooked”, MGMT, CYPRESS HILL, SLIGHTLY STOOPID, NAS & DAMIAN ‘JR GONG’ MARLEY, ATMOSPHERE, LIVING COLOUR, LIVING LEGENDS (Aesop, Bicasso, Eligh, The Grouch, Luckyiam, Murs, Scarub, Sunspot Jonz), IRATION and AGAINST THE GIRL. Another major line-up announcement will be made this week, before on-sale. "

The beat and the song are straight dope already, but a little verse from Rick Ross adds to the freshness. And not to mention the video is clean as a mutha fucka. I can't wait to see what happens next yo.

Rock The Bells Countdown...15 Days
Yo what up world? And it gets closer and closer to that day in San Bernadino when them peeps at Guerilla Union make history with one of the DOPEST line-ups ever. So today a little video from The Ruler. This was one of the best albums to come out while I was still in school gettin a fake ass education. The debut album from MC Ricky D had a mix of poppy songs that were actually pretty sick for those days, and a whole lot of really good Hip Hop music. I love this album and still rock it on occasion, especially when the shit that represents Hip Hop today is gettin me down.
So here is a joint off The Adventures Of Slick Rick for your eyes and ears to enjoy. This will definitely be one of the highlights of my day, seeing Slick Rick perform this joint in its entirety. Get them tickets and I will see you there. I'll be that big ass brotha wearing the "My Philosophy" hat.

I look forward to seeing Rakim spit again on August 21. He is truly one of the greatest to bless our ears. Here is a joint from the album.

Letter From Guru.....
Here is the letter that is said to have been written by Guru and to have been released after his passing.
“I, Guru, am writing this letter to my fans, friends and loved ones around the world. I have had a long battle with cancer and have succumbed to the disease. I have suffered with this illness for over a year. I have exhausted all medical options. I have a non-profit organization called Each One Counts dedicated to carrying on my charitable work on behalf of abused and disadvantaged children from around the world and also to educate and research a cure for this terrible disease that took my life. I write this with tears in my eyes, not of sorrow but of joy for what a wonderful life I have enjoyed and how many great people I have had the pleasure of meeting,”
“My loyal best friend, partner and brother, Solar, has been at my side through it all and has been made my health proxy by myself on all matters relating to myself. He has been with me by my side on my many hospital stays, operations, doctors visits and stayed with me at my home and cared for me when I could not care for myself. Solar and his family is my family and I love them dearly and I expect my family, friends, and fans to respect that, regardless to anybody’s feelings on the matter. It is my wish that counts. This being said I am survived by the love of my life, my sun KC, who I trust will be looked after by Solar and his family as their own. Any awards or tributes should be accepted, organized approved by Solar on behalf myself and my son until he is of age to except on his own.”
“I do not wish my ex-DJ to have anything to do with my name likeness, events tributes etc. connected in anyway to my situation including any use of my name or circumstance for any reason and I have instructed my lawyers to enforce this. I had nothing to do with him in life for over 7 years and want nothing to do with him in death. Solar has my life story and is well informed on my family situation, as well as the real reason for separating from my ex-DJ. As the sole founder of GangStarr, I am very proud of what GangStarr has meant to the music world and fans. I equally am proud of my Jazzmatazz series and as the father of Hip-Hop/Jazz. I am most proud of my leadership and pioneering efforts on Jazzmatazz 4 for reinvigorating the Hip-Hop/Jazz genre in a time when music quality has reached an all time low. Solar and I have toured in places that I have never been before with GangStarr or Jazzmatatazz and we gained a reputation for being the best on the planet at Hip-Hop/Jazz, as well as the biggest and most influential Hip-Hop/Jazz record with Jazzmatazz 4 of the decade to now. The work I have done with Solar represents a legacy far beyond its time. And we as a team were not afraid to push the envelope. To me this is what true artists do! As men of honor we stood tall in the face of small mindedness, greed, and ignorance. As we fought for music and integrity at the cost of not earning millions and for this I will always be happy and proud, and would like to thank the million fans who have seen us perform over the years from all over the world. The work I have done with Solar represents a legacy far beyond its time and is my most creative and experimental to date. I hope that our music will receive the attention it deserves as it is some of the best work I have done and represents some of the best years of my life.”
REST IN PEACE GURU
Yo what up world? I come to you today on a very somber note. The hip hop world has lost one of the pioneers of this game. We have lost one of the greatest MC's to ever rock a mic. It has been reported that Guru, known by the government name Keith Elam, has passed away at the age of 43. A while back Guru had a heart attack, but was said to have been recovering from that. Apparently his death was related to a long battle with cancer. Guru you will be missed. Longtime friend and colaborator Solar released a published statement with the following: "The world has lost one of the best MCs and hip-hop icons of all-time -- my loyal best friend, partner, and brother, Guru," he said. "Guru has been battling cancer for well over a year and has lost his battle! This is a matter that Guru wanted private until he could beat it, but tragically, this did not happen. The cancer took him. Now the world has lost a great man and a true genius."

Chris Rock Spoof of Andre 3000
So heres a little video that will make you laugh, or say "What the Fuck?!?!". This video is Chris Rock spoofing the Hey Ya video put put by Andre 3000 from Outkast. Peep it the shits funny. Its called "Crackers".
The Stimulus For That Ass
Ok so what the deal world? I know I been on a little hiatus for a few minutes, but yo the brothas back. And because I haven't been on this joint posting, alot of shit has came out that I haven't had the pleasure to spit my two cents on. So lets get back to grindin with this monetary gem that came out back in February. If you aint copped this shit yet, get to the nearest record store and let Freeway and JakeOne show you the business plan.
First of all lets talk about the CD packaging for a minute. This is a very clever way to put your shit out yo. The CD cover is like a big ass wallet and the liner notes are printed on some big stacks of cash. On the inside of the wallet where the cheddar goes, there is a credit card type joint from JakeOne and Rhysayers that has a code printed on it that entitles you to go to a website and download free instrumental MP3's of the album. What a dope ass idea.
Now getting to the meat of the sandwhich, the album is fuckin DOPE. So far my favorite track in the upbeat "She Makes Me Feel Alright", with the Mary Jane sample from Rick James. The beats are incredible on the entire album and Freeway is all growed up and smashing the beats like a seasoned vet. Wait till you hear the joint with Raekwon called "One Thing". This joint is about snitches and The Chefs verse is not that big but the brotha gets his point across reminisent of them 36 Chambers days. There are also guest appearances by Young Chris, Bun B, and Birdman that also do not disapoint.
Joint after joint, this album comes correct. Freeway and JakOne have definitley lived up to the title of the album and provided Hip Hop with a little extra cheddar for them pockets. Stand in line and get that Stimulus, you won't regret it.

New Reflection Eternal Album.... Finally
Yo what up world??? It's official ya'll. Tell all the hoodrats and homies in your hood that the wait is finally fuckin over. Reflection Eternal is set to release Revolutions Per Minute later this year. Yo I can already hear the smooth flow of Talib over the straight butta beats of the one and only Hi-Tekzilla.
Talib announced today via Twitter, that the new album will be available in on-line stores and on shelves every where on April 6th, so start saving those ends to support these brothas.
If the dynamic duo blesses the Hip Hop world with a record even half way as good as Train Of Thought, I would make the argument that they should be up there in the top 10 Greatest Ever groups of all time. If you don't agree, then you better get that first album out again, light that spliff, and when the album stops if you still don't agree, holla at me.
