HIP HOP HISTORY MONTH

Yo, what up world? If you haven't already heard, The Universal ZULU NATION has called on the world to recognize November as Hip Hop History Month. They are calling on all heads to celebrate the culture and it's history throughout the month of November. They have already been doing this for more than 27 years so its about that time for the rest of us to join in and let the world know Hip Hop is here to stay.

According to the official ZULU Nation website, the official birth date of Hip Hop is November 12, 1974. So by my calendar we are only a few days away from Hip Hop's official 35th birthday. In honor of those fallen soldiers and pioneers of our culture that have paved the way, we should all celebrate and recognize that this wouldn't be possible without the forefathers and they're efforts. People from all over the world travel to New York every year to celebrate in the birth place that is the Holy Mecca of Hip Hop. I have that trip high on my list of spots to hit before I leave this earth, and will definitely make November the month of travel.

For all the Hip Hop heads out there, here is a little gem from our past to honor the culture and pay homage to the birth. Yo RIP to Skeeter Rabbit from the Electric Boogaloos. You will be greatly missed.
