SouthernPlayalistic

Yo what up world? I just thought that today would be a good day to pay a little bit of respect to one of the groups that helped pave the way for the South. Yes there had already been some noise coming out the South with groups like the Geto Boys and 2Live Crew, but these brothas from East Point got things mighty hot and poppin with their first release, Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik. This joint came out in 1994 and the rest is history.

For real Big Boi and Dre were living a dream in this rap game, and they were still just teenagers. I remember seeing them at Irvine Meadows for the very first ever 92.3 the Beat Summer Jam and running into them at the little Del Taco stand inside the venue. Yo these cats were just young bucks at the time, but they ripped the stage and held that shit hostage. They are still one of my favorite groups out there, and the music they have made is still a classic listen 15 years later. Throw that first album on and let their tales of Southern life take you back to 94 and lets get it all Crunked up. Here's a little something from that record to ask you "what did the five fingers say to the face?" SLAAAAAAAAAP. Yo and big ups to Warren G ya'll, todays his Birf Day.
